Director's Corner

December 2011
Dear Friends of Urban Arts Space,
As we look toward the Columbus bicentennial 2012, we are partnering with the Columbus community in many ways. Good Design in Bad Times by alum Eliza Ho and community architect Tim Lai highlights the entrepreneurial spirit found in three of our Columbus neighborhoods. Tracing Lines by alumnae Jessica Larva and Aimee Sones connects Columbus to the greater discussion of contemporary culture as seen through works of art. Object/Imprint curated by alum Melissa Vogley Woods and local artist Josh Foy exhibits our regional Ohio artists who have transitioned from traditional art making mediums into non-traditional realms while honoring our root traditions.
Come experience a celebration of Columbus through works of art that contribute to the vitality of our downtown neighborhood.
We hope to see you in the Space during this New Year!
My very best,

Valarie Williams
