BFA Senior Projects Exhibition

The Department of Art Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Projects Exhibition presents the work of graduating art majors working in a wide range of media and approaches.  Projects reveal ambitious bodies of work developed during the students' course of study in areas such as art and technology, ceramics, glass, painting and drawing, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.

Department of Design Spring Exhibition

Every year the Department of Design hosts an exhibition featuring the senior theses of the undergraduates from each of the three programs: Industrial Design, Interior Design and Visual Communication Design.  This exhibition is the culmination of the students' design experience at The Ohio State University.

Vata

An Ayurvedic term for 'air and space', Vata is a meditation on both the far-reaching possibilities and the intimacy of drawing.  Presented by City Center Gallery, Vata is an exhibition of graphite and charcoal drawings by local artist Jill Raymundo.  Multiple drawings series comprise the exhibition, ranging from intricate, textural collage drawings of commonplace objects to large-scale cloudscapes based on images taken from an airplane window.

Celebrating its 30th year, the Neighborhood Design Center embraces underserved neighborhoods, advocating design as a right, not a privilege.  Inspired by the talents of students from The Ohio State University, University of Cincinnati, and Columbus College of Art and Design, projects in this exhibition range from signs to storefronts, gardens, streetscapes, and whole communities.  The ultimate goal of the Design Center is to identify new possibilities for the City of Columbus and central Ohio.  In this exhibition, renderings, models, before-and-after panoramas and more envision ideas for how to revitalize key areas downtown.

2012 High School Juried Exhibition

The 2012 High School Juried Exhibition is a one-of-a-kind art show designed specifically for aspiring artists who feel the need to break from the limitations of their classrooms and showcase their art in a professional environment.  Through May 11, 2012, any Ohio high school age artist can apply to participate in the exhibition.

Recognizing both the Columbus bicentennial and the 20th anniversary of the Sister City program between Columbus, Ohio and Dresden, Germany, this exhibition features works by German and Ohio artists that have participated in the Dresden/Columbus printmaking exchange, a program facilitated by the Ohio Arts Council.

Bebe Miller: Tracing History

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of her company and world premiere of its first new work in nearly five years, this exhibition explores Bebe Miller's history of dance innovation, from her earliest days as part of the downtown New York City contemporary dance scene to her current dual role as company leader and Ohio State faculty member.
