BIGG Glass Art Tour Series: Glass Art History
Friday, September 4, 2009 - 1:00pm - 2:00pm
This summer Columbus has become a hotspot for glass art as a variety of art spaces in the city host glass exhibitions and events. Join the fun and wonderment at the OSU Urban Arts Space by participating in a variety of thematic tours of our current exhibition, BIGG: Breakthrough Ideas in Global Glass. This BIGG Glass Art Tour Series takes place on Friday afternoons throughout the upcoming months, offering interactive, and informative discussions, touching on a variety of issues and ideas presented in these breakthrough artworks.
This tour will delve into the historical context of glass art , focusing on artists exploring the media through an historic lens and/or using traditional techniques. Come ready to look, discuss, and share.
To attend one or many of the tours in this series please RSVP to uaseducation@osu.edu or 614.292.8861 five days in advance as space is limited to 20 guests per tour. In your RSVP please specify which tour(s) you wish to attend, how many will be attending, and if you have any special needs. Tours will be held at the OSU Urban Arts Space.
OSU Urban Arts Space also encourages large groups to schedule a separate tour through uaseducation@osu.edu. We would love to host your group for a similar topic based tour or a general tour of the Space.
