(PAPER) Book and Paper Arts Sale
Friday, December 2, 2011 - 6:00pm - 8:00pm
As downtown Columbus readies itself for the holidays, drop by for hot cocoa and a book and paper arts sale. Columbus authors, artists, and organizations will be selling books, magazines, cards, and photographs. Enjoy the art and festive atmosphere, and purchase unique gifts. (Note: cash or check only).
During your visit you can see the Lazarus Building's window displays, combining vintage and new pieces, with artifacts from the Lazarus Building's historical collection, and our snowflake collection made by kids participating in November's Art Explorations. For yet another reason to make it to our book sale, you can witness the Grand Illumination of light displays at the Columbus Commons and along the Scioto Mile, which will be flipped on by Mayor Coleman during a special ceremony at the nearby Bicentennial Park. This is a great night to be on our block!
This evening's program is the second day of a mini-book arts festival called Rock, Paper, Scissors: A Celebration of the Art of the Book, happening from Thursday, December 1st through Saturday, December 3rd. This three-day bookfest encompasses this month's Paging Columbus! program, a book sale and a bookmaking workshop for kids and adults.
