The bullet severely damaged her spinal cord, paralyzing her from the shoulders down. Despite her injuries, the 25-year-old remains positive and strong.Alexandria, known to family and friends as Alix, is well known and loved for her endless support of the Columbus community. Benefits have been held in her honor throughout the city, in artistic venues such as Kobo, Wholly Craft, and Glass Axis.Embracing Alix's love of art, the OSU Urban Arts Space is hosting a benefit with artwork, raffles and live performances to raise funds for the victim's medical bills and life-long care. Artwork donated by local artists will be available for purchase through a silent art auction. Guests can also purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win several prizes, generously donated by Columbus area businesses. Proceeds from the sale of artwork and raffle tickets will go directly to Alix's family.Artwork will be up for bidding and raffle tickets will be available for purchase from September 25, 11:00 am to October 2, 4:30 pm.
