Reception: Thursday, June 9, from 5-7 PM
Natural Worlds, a City Center Gallery exhibition, highlights the unique treatment of colors, shapes, and textures by artists Charles Porter and Larry Ross. Through their emotionally charged pieces, viewers are transported into pigmented worlds inspired by Porter and Ross’s visual interpretations of space. Natural Worlds serves as a map to worlds unknown, but deserving of exploration.
Natural Worlds was created with Open Door Art Studio, a studio that empowers artists with disabilities to develop unique, artistic voices and to experience opportunities afforded through the arts.
City Center Gallery exhibitions feature local and emerging artists selected by a small team of Urban Arts Space student assistants, providing the students with hands-on experience curating, installing, and marketing exhibitions.
