While their pieces are largely nonobjective, they are emotionally charged due to their use of intuitive mark-making. Through their work, Porter and Ross draw viewers into pigmented worlds they have created. Viewers traverse these naturally-inspired worlds based on little more than visual interpretation of space. Ultimately, they serve as a cartographers to worlds unknown, but deserving of exploration.Natural Worlds is in conjunction with Open Door Art Studio. Open Door Art Studio empowers artists with disabilities to develop unique, artistic voices and to experience opportunities afforded through the arts.
