The gallery celebrates its city by featuring 62 works of art by 50 Ohio artists based in areas in and outside of Ohio, including Columbus, Athens, Whipple, Milford, Pennsylvania and New York. OHIOCENTRIC is not a Columbus-themed exhibition—artists were encouraged to submit works that represent their own individual interests, which together create a momentary composite of Ohio's unique, collective reflection.While no grants were given to accepted artists for OHIOCENTRIC, guest juror and Riffe Gallery Director Mary Gray will select prizewinners for awards of: first prize ($350), second prize ($100), and third prize ($50).Prizewinners:First place: Palli Davine Davis for her collection of works from the Holding Stones SeriesSecond place: Boryana Rusenova Ina for her painting, Postcard HomelandThird place: Kate Shannon for her video, Construction/DeconstructionFourth place: Rojer Williams for his painting, Winged Tin TinFifth place: Rachel Clark for her painting, Studio SelfSixth place: Tyler Bohm for his mixed media work, Sigil-2About our Guest Juror Mary GrayMary Gray has served as Riffe Gallery Director since autumn 1998, and is responsible for managing exhibition selection and coordination and all administrative activities of the Riffe Gallery. Some of her duties include overseeing the gallery education program, the marketing area, gallery assistants and preparators, working with curators and artists, designing installations and handling shipping and insurance arrangements for all exhibitions.  Ms. Gray serves on the OAC’s International Committee and has extensive experience coordinating international exhibitions. She has juried several exhibitions for various museums, galleries and organizations across the state.About City Center GalleryCity Center Gallery is an opportunity for promising emerging artists to display their art and launch their careers.  Artists who display in City Center Gallery have the opportunity to exhibit work in a professional setting and gain real-world knowledge in the operations of galleries. In honor of the Columbus Bicentennial, City Center Gallery hosts its first all-Ohio juried exhibition: OHIOCENTRIC.

While City Center typically focuses on the Columbus community, we are excited to include artists from all over Ohio in celebration of the capital city's 200th anniversary. About our Guest Juror Mary Gray

Mary Gray has served as Riffe Gallery Director since autumn 1998, and is responsible for managing exhibition selection and coordination and all administrative activities of the Riffe Gallery. Some of her duties include overseeing the gallery education program, the marketing area, gallery assistants and preparators, working with curators and artists, designing installations and handling shipping and insurance arrangements for all exhibitions.  Ms. Gray serves on the OAC’s International Committee and has extensive experience coordinating international exhibitions. She has juried several exhibitions for various museums, galleries and organizations across the state.
