Emily Oilar

Operations and Programming Manager

Since beginning at Urban Arts Space in 2015, Emily has taken on a variety of roles and is pretty awesome at all of them. She currently oversees operations, including fiscal, human resources and program implementation and evaluation; activates partnerships with university and community stakeholders; leads tours, engagement and event activities at Urban Arts Space and Hopkins Hall Gallery; and she provides oversight for marketing and communication efforts. Emily was drawn to Urban Arts Space because of the connections it creates between young and eager students within the university and the local art community that offers a wealth of creativity and opportunity. Emily is passionate about nature, supporting arts in her community, learning new things (especially from podcasts) and spending time with her family. In her free time, she enjoys going on adventures with her husband Brian and their dog Freddie.

Emily recommends making your bed every morning. She believes that before you have even walked out the door, you have completed your first goal of the day!
