The Instant Two Shin

The Instant Two Shin challenges the coded gaze (an algorithmic bias in AI) by exposing the artificial segmentation imposed by technology on Black identity while simultaneously embracing the Black gaze (the critical lens through which art and visual culture centers Black thought and expression) by offering a layered, empowered representation of Black masculinity. It speaks to autonomy, complexity, and speculative vision, aligning deeply with the Afrofuturistic and diaspora-centered themes that I explore as an artist. Through this work, viewers are invited to see beyond imposed filters and recognize the full, multi-dimensional identity we all possess within.
