Step Into the Story of Movement
Join us for a rich, embodied experience as Dr. Candace Feck introduces the OhioDance Virtual Dance Collection®—a living archive that honors the spirit of dance across Ohio. Then, move beyond the screen with a guided movement experience led by dancer and choreographer Brianna Rhodes.
Wander the exhibition freely or dive deeper with Jess Cavender, the visionary artist behind the exhibit’s design. Whether you explore solo or alongside others, this is a space to connect, move, and be inspired.
Artist Commune is a recurring event hosted by Urban Arts Space that allows artists and the community to come together to create art, discuss art, and network.
Urban Arts Space may photograph or video the event for promotional purposes. By attending, participants grant permission for their likeness to be used in promotional materials. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform event staff.
The OhioDance Virtual Dance Collection® is an interactive platform that documents and preserves the achievements of persons and institutions who have shaped the diversity of dance history within the state of Ohio. There will be showings of the award-winning documentary film, Ohio: A State of Dance, and hands-on experience to interact with the gesture interface of the traveling exhibit.
