Generation Scrap Reception
Department of Design; Mohawk Group
This is the opening reception for Generation Scrap, an upcoming exhibition at Urban Arts Space.
The Ohio State University’s Department of Design and Mohawk Group invite you to Generation Scrap, a special exhibit of featured projects from seventeen students over 5 years of the OSU X Mohawk Collab. The Collab explores speculative student designs of sustainable carpet in the Anthropocene.
The opening is Friday, September 30 at 5:30 PM at Urban Arts Space, and the exhibit is open to the public from October 1 through October 29.
As part of the exhibit, co-curators Professor Rebekah Matheny from The Ohio State University and Royce Epstein, A&D Design Director at Mohawk Group, will be presenting their lecture “Generation Scrap: Designing with Waste to Transform Industry and Envision a Better Future” along with Katherine Hunter, OSU alumna and interior designer at MA Design. This talk is CEU-accredited by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the International Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) and will be held at the Center for Architecture and Design at 4 PM on September 30, just prior to the exhibition opening.
