Kiln Meeting is an exhibition at UAS featuring OSU’s ceramics department. From one basement to another, we plan to take over the upper gallery and show the latest work being made in our studious from grads, our tech, lectures, and faculty members. This show is a celebration of the history and contemporary vibrance the medium brings to art.
This exhibition takes you from one basement to another, Hopkins Hall to Urban Art Space. Artists included in the exhibition are Steven Thurston, Britny Wainwright, Cory Mahoney, Candace Black, Marsha Mack, Koen Vrij, Karen Tharp, Christine Fashion, Hannah McCasland, Jinblossom Kim Plati. Together we are working alongside one another, influencing each other’s practices, and developing more because of it. This exhibition is a celebration of the work, the artist, the ceramics community, and the larger art sphere we are all currently making within.
