Hopkins Hall Gallery On Thursday, June 2nd, at 7pm the public is invited to participate in a group Tug-of-War on site. Please note that pre-registration to attend the exhibition or reception is no longer required; attendance is free and open to the public!   We play with various materials and objects that overlap in our respective studio practices. We conduct experiments to test limits, boundaries, and functions, in both the physical and conceptual sense. We use our bodies to manipulate materials at maximum capacity. We don’t measure or use formulas. We ask: How far can this stretch? How elastic is it? What sound does it make? How strong am I? How long can it become? Our one and only hypothesis is presented as part of Summer Series, a multi-venue program that showcases short- and long-term projects such as gallery exhibitions, performances, audience participatory work, discussions, research demos and more. This series encourages collaboration, multidisciplinary approaches and seeks ideas that foster conversations, relationships, or careers, that represent diverse perspectives.
