Pulp Stiction: Collage as an Act of Resistance

Mon, October 26 - Fri, December 11, 2026
11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Hopkins Hall Gallery

This is not a nice exhibition. It is not going to tell you what you want to hear or show you what you want to see. Eighty artists sent ninety-two works about what resistance looks like, and they are full of grief, humor, illness, joy, fear, togetherness, and loneliness. What you see in it might be something else entirely. Both are true at once, and neither cancels the other. This exhibition is asking you to see how resistance translates across time, space, and experience, and maybe you will see yourself somewhere in it, too.

Pulp Stiction: Collage as an Act of Resistance is a national juried exhibition curated by Emily Morgan of Lovely But Dead in partnership with Urban Arts Space. It runs October 26 through December 11, 2026 at Hopkins Hall Gallery at The Ohio State University with an opening reception on October 30. Seventy-three works will be on display in the gallery, and nineteen more in a digital exhibition.

Featuring a hands-on scrap room, a community collage, a curator walkthrough, and collage parties throughout the run, ending with a closing party December 11, Pulp Stiction pulls the viewer into the world of collage as an art form and a release mechanism.

Participating artists are compensated through a community-funded effort. Admission and all programming are free and open to the public. Learn more at lovelybutdead.com/pulp-stiction.
