trace layer play II
On view at Hopkins Hall Gallery
Come and explore the creative research process! trace layer play is an arts-based research collective. In 2020, four Ph.D. students in Arts Administration, Education and Policy started a collaborative research journey to connect and motivate each other during the pandemic. Their 2021 exhibition marked the beginning of an arts-based research collective. They dare to expose the messiness of the research process to public witnesses and invite visitors to explore, experience, and engage in the research process with them. This year, trace layer play expands their experience for co-creating a sustainable research community with fellow AAEP graduate students.
Participating 2022 researchers: Xiaoxiao Bao, Robin Gordon, Julia Harth, Amy Holihan, Erin Hoppe, Aelim Kim, Tamryn McDermott, and Noor Murteza.
We invite you to access the project's online catalog here.
trace layer play II is presented in partnership with Hybrid Arts Lab, a multi-venue learning lab that experiments with how art is imagined, made, viewed and understood within physical and digital spaces.
