Hybrid Arts Lab

Hybrid Arts Lab is a multi-venue learning lab that experiments with how art is imagined, made, viewed, and understood within physical and digital spaces.
Hybrid Arts Lab showcases collaborative and experimental exhibitions, performances, discussions, and research by arts students, faculty, and staff in the College of Arts and Sciences. Art makers and researchers are invited to explore new ways of integrating and circulating their creative activity, teaching, and research utilizing the associated venues:

Summer Series
We are now accepting proposals for Summer 2023!
Summer Series is a multi-venue program that showcases short- and long-term projects such as gallery exhibitions, performances, audience participatory work, discussions, research demos, and more. This series encourages collaborative, multidisciplinary approaches and seeks ideas that foster conversations, relationships, or careers and represent diverse perspectives.
This opportunity is available to applicants who are currently studying, living, or working in the state of Ohio.
John Fergus Family Scholarship and Exhibition
Applications for the 31st Annual John Fergus Family Scholarship are now closed. The exhibition will take place in January 2023 at Hopkins Hall Gallery.
The John Fergus Family Scholarship is a juried art competition open to studio-based visual art and design students at The Ohio State University. Students submit their work for review by a jury of faculty from the departments of Art; Arts Administration, Education and Policy; Design; and History of Art. Scholarship winners receive a $1,000 scholarship applied to their student account and exhibit their work at the annual Fergus Scholarship Award Exhibition, a group exhibition featuring work selected from the scholarship recipients' applications.
