Abeeku is an exhibition intern, and his favorite things about being an intern so far are learning about the technicalities and minutiae of photo documentation and being part of the installation process, and seeing what goes into a successful gallery. Abeeku is currently most interested in film because he enjoys seeing art in motion and loves to see how different directors use the camera to execute their vision. He is also interested in short-form video collages.

In his free time, Abeeku loves to watch cooking shows and read comic books. He is currently watching season 47 of Chopped and reading Jason Aaron’s run on the X-Men. He is very passionate about his love for food and will always stand by the Ghanaian variant of Jollof. Abeeku’s words to live by are “Life is too short not to laugh.” He recommends trying to find the humor in everything to keep yourself going.
