Marcy is interested in animation and documentary film. She thinks that there is something so captivating about the freedom and flexibility that animation provides. Her biggest inspirations have been Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, Ratatouille, and Ponyo. In her film work, Marcy is passionate about talking about eating disorders, beauty standards, and portraying just how badly they can affect you. She says that creating work centered around eating disorders is very healing for her.
During her time at Urban Arts Space, Marcy has loved making promotional videos for the exhibitions and seeing all of the artwork come in.
When she’s not working, Marcy loves to crochet. She likes to make hats, shirts, and sweaters. She also loves to read and rollerblade!
Marcy’s words to live by are: “It may sound cheesy, but I really love to try and find joy in tiny cute things, like a cup of tea in a cute mug or buying cute things from the dollar store. I struggle a lot with anxiety, and focusing on small things happening in the present day really helps.”
