Community Engagement Intern
Education
- Major: Arts Management
Sefanit Reddae (She/Her) is a second-year Arts Management major at OSU. She works as a Community Engagement Intern at the Urban Arts Space, and has interests in theatre, graphic novels, fashion, and physical art mediums like painting, Rock, and cartoons. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, reading, shopping, and exploring downtown Columbus.
Since her senior year of high school, Sefanit has found her passions within artistic direction for theatre, learning to draw/paint as well as instruments like the clarinet and piano. Working at UAS and being a member of the Wex SAB has helped immensely with her career goals and making connections in the Columbus Arts community. She is passionate about delving into fashion and learning how to sketch and sew, as well as write children's fiction in the future. Sefanit believes that she does not have to stick with one career her whole life, and can achieve a multitude of goals she once thought would be too difficult to balance.
Some words of wisdom she lives by are to learn from failure, if you consistently put yourself down for failing a class or not getting an internship, you will never see the lesson(s) given on how to improve for the next test or opportunity. Being too afraid to take that next step because of something that could happen only harms you!
