Sia Sindhwani (she/her) is a fourth-year student studying Marketing and Studio Art. As a Community Engagement Intern at UAS, she aims to bring creative thought and experiences to communities that are underrepresented in the arts. Her favorite thing about UAS is the variety in types of programming, and she is eager to collaborate with local artists and contribute to a more welcoming environment. 

Sia can always be found creating art, whether that be in the studio working on a new ceramic build or crocheting with a glass of tea on the porch. Related to her own ceramics and painting practices, she is interested in the visual arts and how different media can be combined to tell compelling stories. Recently, she has also been exploring textile work, including sewing and cross-stitch. 

In her free time, Sia also enjoys playing golf and baking. She’s deeply passionate about accessibility and being a caring member of her communities. She believes in leading with empathy and giving people the space to learn and grow from their lived experiences. She strongly encourages everyone to pet a cat at least once a day!
