Alexia Young (she/her) is a Community Engagement Intern at UAS and a third-year Strategic Communication major. She enjoys photography and design, but she is most passionate about ceramics because she loves the endless possibilities and getting to work with her hands. 

When she’s not in class or in Hopkins Hall working on ceramics, Alexia enjoys spending time with friends, thrifting, and listening to music. She loves an adventure and is always down to check out different spots around the city or explore a new hobby. She is passionate about creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where creativity can flourish.

Alexia believes it’s important to embrace your curiosity and try new things–even if you’re scared. Although she is still working on listening to that advice herself, she has found that she grows and learns the most when she takes risks and gets out of her comfort zone.
