Community Engagement Intern
Yushan Zhao (u-shaun) (she/her) works as a Community Engagement intern at Urban Arts Space. Her favorite part of the role is seeing how ideas turn into real, tangible projects that visitors can see, touch, and experience. She especially enjoys exploring digital art and using tools like Figma to create interactive animations and designs that engage people directly.
Recently, Yushan has been focused on turning her ideas into projects that make an impact and experimenting with digital art and interactive design. She loves finding ways to make her work immersive and meaningful for users.
In her free time, Yushan enjoys drawing and spending time with dogs. She is passionate about keeping up with her art practice, traveling, and learning new skills that expand her creative toolkit.
Yushan lives by the motto inspired by her favorite 1996 drama Long Vacation: “Don’t worry, be happy.” She believes that things will work out anyway, so why not look at them with a positive mindset?
