Artist Spotlight: Arris’ J. Cohen Paints Narratives with Afrofuturistic Work
Vibrant colors, hidden stories, and kinetic energy create an electrifying energy that flows through Arris’ J. Cohen’s paintbrush onto the canvas. Cohen, also known as Sir’Ra, is emerging as a pivotal figure in the Columbus art scene and was recently voted one of the Top 10 Local Columbus Artists of 2023. At the beginning of his artistic career, he is already generating excitement as the Urban Arts Space’s Inaugural Community Artist-in-Residence.
