Offered on the second Saturday of the month, Art Explorations is an interactive arts education series that provides an opportunity for children ages 4 to 11 and their families to create art in a gallery setting, with a goal of instilling a sense of art appreciation. Art Explorations encourages an interest in the arts and aims to develop participants’ cognitive skills, self-esteem, and self-expression. The program is free and provides opportunities for families to develop a range of artistic techniques to explore current exhibits at Urban Arts Space.
October 24th Art Explorations
1, 2, 3... Blastoff!
Join us for a virtual Art X class on October 24th at 1pm to learn how to create your own origami rocket ship - don’t worry it’s not rocket science! Recommended for ages 4-11, however, adults are welcome to work alongside and assist their astronauts-in-training.
The only materials you would need are sheets of standard 8.5 x 11 inch paper (can be computer or construction paper) and scissors!
