COVID-19 Visitors' Information 

Please review our COVID-19 protocols before your visit. We encourage you to check our website before each visit as these measures may evolve with university guidelines

August 2: Effective immediately, students, faculty, staff and visitors to all Ohio State campuses and medical facilities are required to wear masks indoors, regardless of their vaccination status. Masks continue to be required outdoors for unvaccinated individuals when they cannot maintain physical distancing. Vaccinated people are not required to mask outdoors. We're located in the historic Lazarus Building in downtown Columbus.

Hours

Hopkins Hall Gallery: Monday–Friday | 11am–4pm
Urban Arts Space: Tuesday–Saturday | 11am–6pm, with extended hours until 8 pm on Thursday

We will be closed on the following holidays: 

  • Labor Day - Monday, September 6 
  • OSU Fall Break - Thursday, October 14 - Saturday, October 16
  • Veterans Day - Thursday, November 11
  • Thanksgiving - Wednesday, November 24 - Saturday, November 27
  • Christmas and New Year's - Monday, December 20 - Saturday, January 1

Pre-registration is required to visit Urban Arts Space (see form below). If you are registering for more than one person, you must register each individual separately. Groups of 5 or more can contact uas@osu.edu for scheduling. 

Admission to exhibitions and programs is always free!


How to Get Here

Ride the Bus: The COTA busline offers convenient service from around Columbus directly into downtown, practically to our doorstep. Take the #2 bus from Ohio State's campus and get off at the State or Town Street stop. The best part: OSU students ride COTA for FREE with their Buck-ID! 

Ride Your Bike: A number of bike trails, bike lanes, and shared roadways lead right to the OSU Urban Arts Space. Bike racks are available on Town Street between High and Front, by our Galleria entrance. For more information on biking to Urban Arts Space, please see How to Bike to the Urban Arts Space.

Parking Garages: There are three parking garages near Urban Arts Space, as well as metered street parking available. If you are coming to the Space for an evening event or program, most street parking is free after 10 p.m. but spaces are limited. Recommended Parking Garages include: 

  • Ohio Statehouse Parking Garage (Enter from westbound Broad Street or from Third Street).
  • We recommend the State House Parking Garage on Third Street when accessibility is a concern.
  • Riffe Center Parking Garage (Enter from Front Street).
  • Columbus Commons (City Center) Parking Garage

How to get here

Hopkins Hall Gallery is located in the Center of The Ohio State University campus in Hopkins Hall on the Oval. Inside of Hopkins Hall, Hopkins Hall Gallery is located on the southern side of the building, just inside the entrance on the oval. 

Ride the bus: The COTA busline offers convenient service from around Columbus directly onto campus. Take the #2 bus from anywhere on high street and get off at 15th Ave. Walk through the Wexner Center courtyard and into the Oval. The best part: OSU students ride COTA for FREE with their Buck-ID!

Hopkins Hall is located by the OSU CABS bus stop at 17th Ave and College Rd, serviced by the BV, ER, and NE.

Ride Your Bike: A number of bike trails, bike lanes, and shared roadways lead right to the OSU campus and Hopkins Hall Gallery. Bike racks are available all along the north side of Hopkin Hall and 17th Ave.

Parking Garages: There are three main parking garages near Hopkins Hall Gallery, as well as metered street parking available. Recommended Parking

  • Ohio Union Garages, North and South
  • Arps Garage
  • Metered parking on 17th Avenue
  • Along the Northern side of Hopkins Hall and 17th Ave, there is metered parking. Recommended if accessible parking is a concern. A ramp into Hopkins Hall is located on the Eastern side of the building in the courtyard between Hopkins and Hayes Hall.
