Hybrid Arts Lab

Now accepting proposals for Spring '21!

Hybrid Arts Lab

Hybrid Arts Lab is a multi-venue learning lab that experiments with how art is imagined, made, viewed and understood within physical and digital spaces.

Hybrid Arts Lab showcases collaborative and experimental exhibitions, performances and discussions by art makers and researchers in the College of Arts and Sciences. Art makers and researchers are invited to explore new ways of integrating and circulating their creative activity, teaching and research utilizing the associated venues:

  • Urban Arts Space
  • Hopkins Hall Gallery
  • UAS online

Submit a Proposal

Hybrid Arts Lab encourages collaboration, experimental approaches to artmaking, and an inclination toward asking big questions that ignite thoughtful conversations.

Hybrid Arts Lab is open to proposals from faculty, students and staff in the departments of Art, AAEP, ACCAD, Dance, Design, History of Art, Music and Theatre at The Ohio State University. Proposals will be reviewed by a committee of faculty representatives from these departments.

While solo applications will be considered, applicants are encouraged to collaborate across program areas to create and experiment with their creative practice.

Application Deadline: Sunday, December 6

Selected projects will be featured January 11—May 9, 2021 across Hopkins Hall Gallery, Urban Arts Space, and UAS online
