Honoring featured artist Arris Cohen at Sole Classics (846 N High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215).

Arris Cohen is a Cleveland native and Columbus-based artist whose work exists between the realms of Afrofuturism and Afrosurrealism. Arris incorporates visual elements and aesthetics of the African diaspora and his lived experiences as a Black man. Confluence, held at Sole Classics, will give Cohen a space to celebrate his conceptual underpinnings and art practice.

Irrepressible Soul is a collaborative project, introspective exhibition, and community-engaged event with critical and reflexive programming centered around recognizing and celebrating the complex and intersectional Black experience and identity. Through arts immersion and culturally responsive exhibitions, Irrepressible Soul hopes to help create a better understanding surrounding “Blackness” through art and creative dialogue.
