The pieces shown are made after my MFA thesis exhibition and are a reflection on my own idiosyncratic ways of working. Materially, these sculptures will be made of wood, ceramic, fabric, and plastic-combining manual processes of making with digital fabrication techniques. This exhibition will show a new series of collages made from a variety of transparent and semi-translucent materials to explore what it means to look at and through an object simultaneously. These works employ different patterns and opacities to complicate the flat spaces they depict, creating images and landscapes that are only partially congruent with our world and logic.” - John Masello     Hopkins Hall Gallery Summer Series features short-term projects including performances, installations, audience-participatory work, and public programs or activities by Ohio State University graduate students. online Urban Arts Space uas@osu.edu America/New_York public
