A reception to celebrate the exhibition will be held on Thursday, March 30 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hopkins Hall Gallery.
Fundamental Play is an exhibition of student work from Foundations Studies within the Department of Art. These courses include Beginning Drawing, 2-D Visual Studies, 3D Art, and Real & Recorded Time. In these classes, students are introduced to the big idea of communication and expression through artmaking.
Play and experimentation allows creative problem solving and the technical ability to work in traditional and non-traditional ways. By focusing on the meaning-making that comes from rethinking how art is imagined, viewed, and understood, this exhibition is an extension of our classrooms. Please join us in recognizing the fundamental play conducted by our fantastic students.
