COVID-19 and the Campus Community – Designing a Post-Pandemic Return to Campus
At their core, designers are problem solvers. As soon as the COVID-19 pandemic broke, designers began discussing responses to our rapidly changing world, considering what novel interventions could be developed in order to mitigate the impact of the pandemic, addressing the shift in social behaviors and humans’ interactions with physical space. Join Primary researcher Associate Professor Rebekah Matheny and her student research team as they present their participatory design research project, Designing a Post-Pandemic Return to Campus. This research project's goal was to gain insights from the student perspective on what they envision as a safe and healthy campus experience during the COVID-19 pandemic.
