Making Lemonade: Design and Mortality in the Age of COVID-19
This panel conversation will examine some of the ways in which design can be used to mediate the topic of death and mortality. Designed objects that prompt conversations about post-death planning and contemporary designs that accommodate traditional Hindu rituals will be framed by intellectual perspectives on death from philosophy and sociology. We will explore how contemporary trends in end-of-life rituals are shifting, especially during the current pandemic.
