As the GenZ market continues to grow, the fashion retail industry, including the physical store experience, needs to address the current values of Millennials and the deepening values of GenZ! The Slow Fashion movement strives to create a strong and nurturing relationship between consumer and producer by linking pleasure with an awareness of environmental responsibility. The retail store environment is a critical link in establishing this relationship. To design a retail experience that connect deeply with these generation’s sustainable values, we must start by redefining the PURPOSE of retail! This panel discussion, moderated by Mindi Trank of Chute Gerdeman, will present the 2020 Redefining Retail Studio process developed by Associate Professor Rebekah Matheny and the winning student design project "Silent Goods" by Tyler Hatton, Katherine Hunter, Kelsey Regan.
