Reception
Saturday, February 22, 2014, 5-7PM
In an exhibition that spans a range of contemporary art practices, The Mirage and the Rainbow represents a varying array of works from the graduating class of MFA candidates. Each student has arrived at this point through different paths and the intersection of intensive studio work, research, and experimentation. The title makes reference to visual phenomena that are captivating, yet fleeting-they occur when the conditions are right.
This annual exhibition is an opportunity to sample an array of current directions in contemporary art, fresh from the studios of professional artists who are completing their Master of Fine Arts degrees in the Department of Art at The Ohio State University.
