Two Neighbors highlights the work of two emerging artists—Sarah Esposito and Alex Vlasov. This installation questions and expands the boundaries of what painting is. Through their tête-à-tête and collaboration, the work of both artists remains close together, even overlapping each other, to force a confrontation between the similarities and differences in the work. The gallery becomes a site for experimentation between two artists, a field to play and question the conventions of painting.
