Elsewhere
Elsewhere brings life to isolation, seclusion, and detachment. Choreographer Ani Javian asks: How does disloaction effect spirit? The intimate seating arrangement along a runway-shaped stage places the audience in close proximity to the performance. yet, the work exhibits physical and emotional distance. NYC-based sound designer James Lo and local visual artist Leah Frankel collaborate with Javian to create this new dance.
Performance by Abby Carlozzo, Shannon Drake, Kelly Hurlburt, Sarah Levitt, and Sabrina Lumbert
Installation by Leah Frankel
Sound by James Lo
