I can feel there is no Wi-Fi here, I'll make a Hotspot.
Wi-Fi Walks deploys a new compact iteration of the work, Hotspot: Wi-Fi Hertz, to imagine a world
in which we can sense Wi-Fi access points, and our body automatically alerts us. A wearable
accessory unlocks this new sense as you traverse the urban landscape of Columbus, OH. Will the
cities of the future interface with us? What are the things our body does to interpret these new sensations? How quickly will our Wi-Fi sense feel natural? Utilizing a microcontroller, Hotspot will heat up according to how many access points there are in the area. As you maneuver, a new sense starts forming, and warmth draws you to the networks. Or pushes you away.
Please note: Wi-fi Walks is on July 22 and August 5 at 4 PM, meaning it is only a two day event.
