Flowing for 80 miles through western Ohio, Darby Creek serves as more than just a rich home for biodiversity. The landmark is seemingly untouched by the civilization that has moved through and around it. Preserving many species of endangered fish, mollusks, and plants, Darby Creek provides a source of natural history and a living ecological classroom.
Presented by City Center Gallery, Darby Creek: A Glimpse of the Past shows the aesthetic and ecological significance of the Darby Creek area. Artist Mark Romesser provides a series of vibrant photographs that help the viewer truly feel the beauty and character of Darby Creek. Utilizing a selective focus, Romesser directs the viewer's attention to a level of extreme detail, provoking onlookers to think through different perspectives of the natural world.
