Kayanaat works as a community engagement intern at Urban Arts Space and is interested in learning how exhibitions are designed and physically put together. She is interested in how exhibitions play into communication and interaction.

Outside of the Urban Arts Space, Kayanaat likes to use design to understand how to encourage collective action and pursue justice and liberation. She works to understand how societal systems play into our everyday lives and experiments with how design can be used to take direct action and create radical change.

In her free time, Kayanaat loves to spend time with family and friends, read, adventure to new places, and have new experiences. She enjoys spending time outside and believes that getting cozy is a hobby.

Kayanaat likes to practice mindfulness to feel connected to the people, places, and cultures around her and feel completely present in what she is doing.
