Maya works as a professional writing intern at UAS and loves writing of all kinds; blog posts, newsletters, articles, essays, fiction, and poetry are some genres she's recently worked with. 

Since childhood, Maya has been interested in jewelry making and ceramics, making her first pieces with air-dry clay as a seven-year-old. She now works with natural gems and crystals, wire-wrapping or tumbling the stones until smooth, turning them into jewelry, and gifting them to friends and family. She loves the natural beauty of crystals and gemstones and wants to display them elegantly. 

In her free time, Maya practices yoga and loves making her own coloring pages to print and color in. She is passionate about spending time on what she loves, and with the people she loves, always striving to put energy into doing good.
